Computer Lab
It consists of Client/Server architecture & high speed Multi¬Services Enabled Network with BSNL Leased Line internet connectivity. Server Control Centre is well equipped with high speed IBM Xeon Dual Processor Server (Red Hat Linux, Win200B Terminal Server). The lab consists of more than 70 Desktops powered by Intel Core2Duo processor. Windows XP SP3 Pro Operating System, RDBMS (Oracle/MS-SQL) Visual Applications (Microsoft Visual Studio. NET) softwares, Office Suites (Office 2007), Developer Languages (C, C++, Java, XML etc.), CAD Tools (AutoCAD 2010) are installed on these desktops. Complete power backup is provided with more than 14 KVA Online UPS.
Graphics lab
It has a very spacious well organized drawing hall with eighty flexible drawing tables, charts, models of geometrical laminas and computers with graphics software AutoCAD 2010.
English language lab
This full-fledged Language Laboratory has the Tandberg Educational System, which offers a variety of functions such as Recording, High Speed Copying, Text Preparation, Intercom, Student Monitoring, Teacher/Student Call, Group Conferencing, etc. The main console is connected to 30 separate booths which have been specially designed for better student-teacher interaction. The lab also has a large number of cassettes and books for all levels of requirements. This lab has a very special value for the students as it helps to improve their communication skills to match the requirement of industries.
Chemistry lab
A chemistry laboratory is a place where one can perform to visualize the different reactions that were studied in the books or heard in lectures. Our laboratory is fully equipped with the measuring instruments and laboratory equipment like pH meter, photometer, melting point apparatus, digital thermometer, viscometer etc. The laboratory is equipped with apparatus to determine hardness of water as well as alkalinity of water. All the experiments are performed under the supervision of lab instructor and teaching faculty.
Mechanical lab
This lab is well equipped with latest experiments (UTM, hardness testing machine, impact testing machine, gear trains, screw jack etc.). It provides all resources to keep the student update with the latest industrial trends. The experimental set ups are sufficient enough to cover both theoretical and practical aspects of education in mechanical engineering. It helps to explore the minutest details via different lab experiments providing a platform to elucidate the otherwise hard to understand theories.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LAB
Electrical Lab is fully equipped with all the experiment prescribed by UPTU. A vast range of equipment like Wattmeter, CRO, Induction motor, DC motor, Digital multi meter, Auto-transformer, Rectifier kit are present and we train the student according to UPTU course structure. All the safety measures are taken before handling the electrical equipment. All the experiments are performed under the supervision of lab instructors in the presence of teaching faculty.
Physics Lab
In order to have a deep insight in the Physics course of B.tech 1st year students will go to Physics laboratory to conduct experiments designed on the principles of interference (Fresnet's biprism & Newton's ring), diffraction (diffraction due to single slit using HE-Ne laser as source) and polarization (polarimeter & polarization measurement). To cater to the students in practicals properly and with a view to have individual access to the experimental setup by students, number of sets has been made available. Experiments based on laser, Biprism, Energy Band Gap, Hall Effect, Hysteresis loss etc. are the salient features of the laboratory.
